A BIM model, a digital model of the structure, consists of objects to which information is linked. This enables each construction partner to input and process information in one and the same BIM model. The information is tied permanently to a building in this way.
We are continuously seeking better and more efficient ways of doing our work. That is why we are currently rolling BIM out across the organisation. This means that BIM is to prevail in all departments, from calculation up to and including assembly. This will enable us to establish any potential bottlenecks in the build process at an early stage. This results in a faster and more efficient build process.
All projects are elaborated three-dimensionally by in-house BIM specialists, from the steel structure up to and including the complete building shell (roof and façade cladding). Static, detail and energy load calculations are performed based on the 3D model. All departments and BIM engineers work in the same model and input the available information to it. All drawings and parts lists can be generated automatically from the model. Our production process is also driven from BIM. Data for the CNC machines is supplied digitally, which reduces production time. What’s more, the model includes phasing that dovetails seamlessly with the overall project schedules.
