This faculty building for the University of Groningen offers space to three research institutes and a training center. With its special design, the Linnaeusborg looks like a lightning bolt from the air. The building has green plastic facades and a grass roof.
The nine-storey building was designed by Rudy Uytenhaak. With a height of about 40 meters and an area of approximately 35,000 square meters, the building houses teaching and research spaces, offices and laboratories. It also has a large basement. Severfield Steel Construction delivered and assembled the more than 3,400 ton steel structure for the building.
